I came here on a Thursday during happy hour and was there for hours! I legit did not feel the time go by. I tried the elote, vegan tacos, and nachos. All were full of flavor and very authentic. The vegan tacos were filling and served within an appropriate time. On occasions there is a DJ and close by are various bars around. There is street parking that you have to pay for and also free side parking.

Love the decor of this place and they had a live dj for Saturday brunch, however we did have a reservation for 2 and if you come just as a party of 2 the tables are a little tight and not that many to choose from inside. They do have some tables on the sidewalk. Once we sat down our waitress came and told us to scan the code for the menu. She wasn't that attentive even though we were early it was around 12. We ordered the mimosa flight so they bring you the champagne bottle with 4 small carafes of juices. The champagne bottle in ice bucket was just placed on our table and this was just sweating, the water was all over our small table and we needed so many napkins. The waitress finally came by after a while after she took our order and then said she was leaving and the bar would take care of us. Which the young man actually ended taking better care of us than she did. He was checking In on us and made sure we had more space as he saw how tight our table was Besides this the food was awesome, tasty and good portions We had the shrimp tacos and the combination plate with a potato taco and enchilada. We added dessert after reading the reviews on the flan and also had the Churros with Ice Cream The reviews are on point over the flan so good Had to bring some home for later, so creamy and you could tell not store bought. Will be coming back to this place Silver lake has many locations to try and this is one of them Note no parking station it's street and they do offer valet Make a reservation either way because I would think since it's somewhat small it will be a wait if you go when they are busy

Came here on world series day and Taco Tuesday. I don't think they were expecting so many people so service was a bit slow but friendly. Overall we had the tacos and the carne asada fries. All we're good and decently priced especially for Taco Tuesday but I'll say that none of the menus matched on prices so it's a bit confusing what's on sale. Definitely needed to ask for menus and clarification but they were nice about it. Overall a cool place for taco Tuesday and will be back!

Stopped by here a few Fridays ago. I always drive by the area and I've always seen the unique decor from the outside and finally got a chance to check this spot out. The inside looks as spectacular as the outside. It has a very modern, dark, slightly goth artistic vibe and I love it. Sat down at the bar and checked out the menu. They have an extensive list of spirits which made it very difficult to choose. But I went with the Old Fashion de Oaxaca since I'm a bourbon guy but wanted to try something different and this mixed the basics of a traditional old fashion with mezcal. For sure a 5/5. Zyla (not sure if that's how you spell her name) the bartender was super friendly and helpful. I decided on the chicken flautas and the queso fundido. The portions are pretty decent for the price so no complaints there! Flautas were crispy and chicken seasoned well and the queso fundido was phenomenal. Definitely will be heading back there soon.

I really liked this spot for a little fun brunch and the decor was on point, they had a dj on site which made it awesome and the drinks were good and food was delicious Only complaint was service was slow the one bartender was serving us and serving the bar and talking to all of his coworkers while we were super thirsty but we just got up and got our own water but everything else was great

Came here for a Saturday night dinner with the fam after a day at Griffith Observatory. Restaurant is a modern upscale style and interior is nicely decorated. Plenty of seating, dimly lit, has a bar, and has open windows so you can feel the breeze. The food overall, was good. We ordered the Fundido for appetizer, poblano Mac n cheese, big nachos w carne asada, birria tacos plate, asada plate, extra rice and beans, and a jalapeño drink. Nice presentation. Portions are great but you will definitely pay up. I know you're paying for the LA location, ambience, and fancy experience but prices were very expensive, imo. Food could use some more seasoning also, especially with the asada plate and Mac and cheese or if not at least some more salt. Not sure if our waiter (didn't get his name) was just having a bad night but he was not friendly. He seemed to be in a bad mood and short in conversation. For a Saturday night, the place seemed understaffed and not busy which is surprising for the location it's in. Another waiter however, was very friendly and he made our experience better as he actually smiled and checked in with us. Overall, the food is good. Restaurant is nicely decorated with good music. On the other hand, very expensive and service needs to be improved. Probably wouldn't come back though, high price and disappointing service.
